HC Chapter 4: I Fear You (III)

This feeling of being forced was really uncomfortable. However, Dong Ci had no choice but to walk towards Jing Rong with heavy steps.

“What the hell do you want to do?!” she furiously demanded as she neared him.

Although there was still some fear in her mind, Dong Ci did not want Jing Rong to notice it. She stood a few steps away from him, with clear repulsion reflected in her eyes.

Did she hate him that much?

Jing Rong’s dark eyes narrowed slightly. Just when she stepped into his reach, he grabbed her into his arms, and coldly asked: “Who was that boy just now?”

It was the coldness of his body that startled Dong Ci more than anything. The lunchbox in her hands fell to the ground, making a dull sound as it hit the pavement.

“Who he is, who I want him to be – is it any of your business?” she demanded, feeling completely annoyed. “Quickly let me go!”

Struggling to no avail, the only thing she achieved was the tightening of his arms around her slim waist. Seeing that Jing Rong had no intention of loosening his hold, her anger was greater than her fear, as the following words left her mouth:

“Are you sick? Why do you always keep pestering me?!”

In terms of appearance, her looks were far worse than his. In terms of money, her family was poor – so it was simply unprofitable to always seek her out. Dong Ci couldn’t understand what Jing Rong wanted from her.

“What do I want?” Jing Rong whispered, seeming to enjoy having Dong Ci in his arms. The petite and weak body leaning against him gave him a moment of tranquillity. He wanted to get even closer to her.

“I always thought that my actions were obvious enough.”

He turned their positions around and pressed her firmly against the wall, with her arms propped against her sides as he stared down at her.

A burst of low laughter reached her ears, bringing with it the incessant feeling of coldness. Jing Rong leaned closer to her earlobe, and whispered to her like a demon seducing his victim: “I want you, don’t you see it?”

Something hot and soft touched the tip of her ear, and Dong Ci’s expression stiffened. But before she could react, Jing Rong had already leaned over to gently suck on her earlobe.

The sharp tips of his teeth gently rubbed against the unprotected flesh, waking her up as she quickly pushed at the person in front of her.

“Stay away from me, I don’t like you!” she furiously shouted out.

“Did I ever say that I like you?” Jing Rong smiled arrogantly, holding her in place with just one hand.

He teasingly caressed Dong Ci’s cheek with the other hand and leaned over to press his forehead against hers.

“I don’t like seeing you too close to other boys. So, I think you should know what you should and shouldn’t do?”

“I don’t know and I don’t want to know. You have no right to control me!”

Dong Ci could feel the other boy’s gentle breathing with her whole body – it was so close that it gave her a strange feeling. She wanted to avoid it, so she pushed at the body in front of her, violently struggling until her pale face turned red from the effort. Finally, she could only glare at Jing Rong, but he didn’t give in at all.

She was too uncooperative, and what she said with her small mouth… Jing Rong really felt as though she didn’t like him at all.

The boy was silent for a moment before suddenly smiling like a flower, looking very dazzling:

“Remember what I told you before?… If you dare to lie to me, I will be very unhappy.”

He finally leaned away from her, stretching his neck and cocking his head to the side. The confusing smile remained on his face, but his eyes were dark and there was no warmth left in them.

“Your name… Is it Dong Ci, or Xiao Ci?”

Dong Ci’s face paled when she heard the question.

What should she do?

Previously, she didn’t even think about meeting him later, so she never thought about the consequences of his displeasure. Could it be that this boy is so bad that he will beat her up?

Jing Rong seemed to have noticed her uneasiness. His thin lips twitched as his smile grew wider.

“My mood seems to have suddenly worsened, what should I do?”

“You, you can’t beat me…” Dong Ci slightly stuttered, looking scared, but still trying to maintain a calm expression.

“Beat you?” he laughed.

His cold fingertips pinched her chin and his eyebrows rose slightly, giving her a leisurely look.

Dong Ci felt chill traveling through her spine.

“I am not interested in hitting women yet… But, I might make you cry.”

Perhaps his scent was too oppressive, or maybe it was some other reason, but Dong Ci suddenly felt that the air around her became thinner. Her heartbeat accelerated due to the overwhelming panic that suddenly crashed onto her.

“Wu…” before she could understand what he meant, the fingertips on her chin suddenly tightened, making her exclaim. Dong Ci looked at the handsome face, which was gradually enlarging in front of her.

Before she could react, her lips were sealed with softness, and her breath was completely stolen.

“…”

Dong Ci’s mind was blank.

She was already in high school, but except for Shi Ze, she had never been close to any of the boys. She never held hands with the opposite sex, let alone kissed.

This was her first kiss.

Feeling the foreign invasion in her mouth, Dong Ci suddenly reacted and desperately pushed at Jing Rong.

She wasn’t very particular about cleanliness, but she still had a special habit of never touching anything that someone else touched with her mouth. Perhaps two close friends could eat an apple by taking bites of it in turns – but she couldn’t. She would also never drink water out of the same bottle that others have drunk from, and she would not touch the food that others have touched.

This has been a special habit since her childhood, and even her mother was aware of it. So now, as she felt her mouth being invaded by an unfamiliar person, she felt completely repulsed and even a little nauseated.

But Jing Rong didn’t seem to be ready to let Dong Ci go. The deep kiss was hot and fierce. The tip of his tongue swept everywhere in her mouth, greedily and hungrily.

Just as he promised – he made her cry.

The first kiss was so fierce that Dong Ci could no longer bear it. Her struggling power became smaller, whilst her breathing accelerated until she could only weakly tug on his clothes in protest.

“Let me go!” she tried to say, with her mouth still filled with his taste. Dong Ci’s tolerance was completely exhausted and she fiercely bit on his lips, trying to cause the maximum amount of pain.

In order to get rid of him, she really put in a lot of effort. Even when the lips and tongues finally separated, his sweet blood still stained her mouth.

Dong Ci raised her hands to wipe away the marks he left on her lips, but her mouth still contained his taste. The tears of grievance kept falling down her face, making her feel even more angry and annoyed. Finally, she couldn’t help but raise her hand, intending to slap him to vent out her emotions.

She has always been a docile and well-behaved girl, but at this moment she had the urge to smack him to death.

Whoosh-

“You are really wild,” Jing Rong quickly reacted and easily stopped her hand. He squeezed her wrist, his face completely expressionless – just a bright bloodstain spreading from the wound and staining his lips, giving him a sense of strange beauty.

Ding ling ling ling ling–

The school bell sounded just on time. A rush of footsteps could be heard coming in their direction.

This was the warning bell. After it rang, more students would move past their location to get to the classrooms.

Dong Ci noticed the opportunity and used the passing students to escape from Jing Rong. It was not until she was no longer on the passage in between buildings, that her uneasy heart gradually recovered.

Everything that happened just now was like a nightmare, but her sore lips and tongue clearly indicated that everything was true.

She had been kissed by someone!

She couldn’t help but think about the picture they formed just now.

Dong Ci felt more and more uncomfortable – her nose was getting sore and unbearable, but she stubbornly held back her tears.

No crying, she secretly told herself.

She wouldn’t act as that person desired!

“That was a strong kiss, A’Rong. Couldn’t you see the tears in the little girl’s eyes? You really don’t feel distressed?” An Cheng Feng witnessed the whole process from not too far away, but he walked over only after Dong Ci escaped.

He couldn’t help but wince in sympathy. Not to mention the girl herself, even the onlookers felt as though a beast was attacking a little rabbit.

“I just wanted to make her cry,” Jing Rong snorted, staring lightly at her running back but not chasing after. The wound on his lip was hot and painful, and the blood flow didn’t seem to be decreasing.

He frowned slightly, lazily leaning back against the wall and slowly brushing his fingertips against the injury.

Huh, it really sucks.

The slender fingers – now stained with blood – carelessly rubbed against each other, whilst the dark eyes looked at the scenery in front, hiding a whirlpool of emotions within.

He recalled the touch just now. Only, it didn’t make him feel satisfied. It was the opposite – now he was even greedier.

He wanted to get her.

As long as he remembered how she was weakly leaning into his arms, Jing Rong’s restless heart became more violent and he could no longer calm down.

Seeing Jing Rong still staring in the direction of where the little girl left, An Cheng Feng carefully looked back and couldn’t help persuading: “Look at how fast she ran. Do you still dare to have any bad ideas inside your mind? Aren’t you afraid of her hiding away – then you won’t be able to touch her at all.”

He knows Jing Rong well enough, so he can easily see through his thoughts with just one look.

However, Jing Rong didn’t mind being obvious about his intentions. Not only did it not irritate him, but he actually chuckled happily.

There was only a moment when one could see clear anger passing through his eyes, but it was so brief that even An Cheng Feng missed it.

“No matter how fast she runs, I will always have a way of catching her,” he said, seemingly thinking of something pleasant. The smile on his face was beautiful and harmless. “But the next time I catch her… I won’t let her go so easily.”

After a few days of constant fear that Jing Rong would come back to trouble her, Dong Ci’s life almost returned to normal. But it was on Friday after school that she had finally encountered him again.

The final exam was getting closer, and Dong Ci couldn’t think of anything else – she just wanted to do her best on this exam. After all, this exam was related to the students’ placement in the second semester of high school. And she had to be assigned to the best class, no matter what.

When Dong Ci’s father was still alive, she had never taken an interest in studying. The school days were passed peacefully, and the only thought about high grades that she had in her mind was that it would be nice to get them.

She didn’t regret her attitude until her father passed away and her mother took on the burden of sustaining the family.

Then, all of the expectations were placed on Dong Ci.
