HC Chapter 7: I Fear You (VI)

The place where Jing Rong lived was very luxurious. Just one room was like a small apartment – it had a living room area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It’s just that the interior decoration was a bit strange – the living room and the bathroom were pure white, leaning towards simplicity and minimalism. While the bedroom was pure black – from walls and bed-sheets to curtains and carpets – it looked extremely depressing.

Such strong contrast in one place made Dong Ci feel extremely uncomfortable, but she had no choice in deciding where she would be staying.

After taking a shower, she quietly put on a black bathrobe that Sally had prepared for her beforehand. The clothes were wide and big on her small frame, and some places didn’t fit well.

Dong Ci sighed and exited the bathroom.

Her stomach was starting to feel uncomfortable with all the food that she had eaten at dinner. She covered her abdomen with a hand and walked into the living room, preparing to pour a cup of hot water to drink. But before she could do that, she was startled by a black shadow standing by the window.

“When did you come in?” Dong Ci frowned when she saw who it was. Her tone was very bad – she had clearly locked the room’s door, but this person still appeared here.

Jing Rong pulled aside the white curtains to reveal his figure. He stood there with his eyebrows slightly raised as he questioned, “Do I need to report to you when and how I come into my own room?”

Suddenly, Dong Ci understood why a ‘guest room’ had such complete daily necessities. Although it appeared weird before, she only now realized that it was actually because this was Jing Rong’s room! Did he really think that she would sleep here?

“I won’t stay at this place!” she shouted as soon as she understood the situation.

This person was so interested in her that Dong Ci was afraid to imagine what would happen if she remained here for the night.

Dong Ci turned around, ready to leave. But just before her hand touched the doorknob, she was caught in Jing Rong’s arms. The strong fragrance of his shower gel dominated all of her senses.

This smell… it seemed to be the same as the shower gel she used earlier in the bathroom.

“You are really fragrant and soft,” Jing Rong whispered behind her.

Before Dong Ci could even think about struggling, he directly picked her up and carried her into the bedroom.

“Jing Rong, what are you doing?!” Dong Ci furiously protested, but the boy didn’t answer. Instead, he entered the bedroom, threw her onto the bed, and turned around to lock the doors.

“What am I doing? Obviously, I am going to do you,” he finally answered, turning around.

Although Dong Ci suspected it, she still panicked when she heard his words. She quickly got off the big bed and scrambled towards the bedside, where she hurriedly picked up a glass cup. Her hands protectively clutched it near her chest, but her mouth stubbornly threatened:

“Don’t come near me, or I’ll kill you!”

Due to Dong Ci’s large movements, the too-big bathrobe on her body became slightly loose. If she made another small movement, she would risk exposing herself completely. However, she didn’t dare to reach for the belt and rearrange her clothes at this crucial time.

Jing Rong quietly observed the girl, who looked more like a furry cat, staring at a hunter with vigilance.

Two people came into a standstill.

“Okay, I won’t come close to you,” Jing Rong smiled, resisting the urge to laugh at her stupid behavior. He took two steps in the direction of the wall and lightly leaned against it. “But if you don’t tie your belt properly – I will see you naked.”

His voice was leisurely, completely unaffected by Dong Ci’s threats. Seeing that she still didn’t move, Jing Rong indifferently smiled. His eyes began to gradually stray to her chest, and he couldn’t help but ask, “No underwear underneath?”

“You aren’t allowed to look!”

The belt around her waist loosened up. Seeing that the boy in front of her was staring at her body so unscrupulously, with his eyes gradually moving down, Dong Ci couldn’t bear it any longer. Her cheeks reddened as she finally moved her hand to tie the belt.

“What-”

Her hand was just about to reach for the bathrobe’s strap when Jing Rong, who was a few steps away from her, suddenly shifted. Before she could react, he was already right in front of her.

Dong Ci was taken aback. Her whole body was taken into his arms, but she still refused to let go of the glass, holding it as though it was an amulet against evil forces.

“Let go,” Jing Rong commanded. He tightly held her waist with one hand, while his other hand seized her palm – trying to take back the cup.

She really wished to just smash it over his head.

“I won’t give it to you!” Dong Ci refused. But she wasn’t very strong, so the pressure on her hand gradually made her let go of the glass. Jing Rong didn’t even have to spend too much effort.

He placed the cup on the bedside table, hugged her, and sat down on the bed. Then he leaned over and gently stroked her small face, his lips stretching into a smile, “Tried to threaten me with a glass, eh?”

His voice was still calm, but Dong Ci still felt a sense of oppression.

“Jing Rong, when will you finally let me go?” she pleaded.

Dong Ci was extremely uncomfortable with being forced to sit on Jing Rong’s lap. But she knew that as long as he refused to let her up, she wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. So she could only bite her lip and slowly whisper, “I beg you, please, let me go. I just want to go home.”

“No,” Jing Rong ignored her pleas. His eyes squinted slightly as he raised her chin and covered the mouth with his own. Since she kept on saying such displeasing things, he just had to take the initiative to shut her up.

After all, no one has ever taught him to be a good person, and no one has ever told him to have a compassionate heart. His world was divided into three categories: the things that he liked, the things he disliked, and the ones he was uninterested in.

Dong Ci belonged to the first category – he wanted her. He was probably interested in her from the first time they met.

The fate was so wonderful – he obviously did nothing to deserve it, yet God gave him this little girl… and his eyes couldn’t stray away from her from the very beginning.

So how could he let her go so easily?

Jing Rong hugged the girl in his arms and fiercely sucked on her lips, the desire in his eyes  strengthening with each passing second.

“Wu…” Dong Ci’s tongue was numb from the kiss, and she was almost unable to breathe because of the intensity with which the boy attacked her.

Suddenly, she felt a tingling pain in her lips.

Jing Rong raised his head slowly and looked at the bright droplets of blood on her mouth. His lips curled up with satisfaction.

“Remember the last time you bit me?” he whispered.

His head once again leaned over, the tip of his tongue coming out to gently lick at the red liquid on her lips. “I am a vengeful person – my blood will never be spilled in vain. If you bite me – I will bite you back.”

Jing Rong closed his mouth and released her chin, moving his hand slightly downwards. His appendage had a clear purpose.

“Don’t,” Dong Ci subconsciously protested. She grabbed his hand and held it firmly above her chest area, preventing it from doing anything else.

But Jing Rong didn’t pay attention to her refusal – he just turned the girl over and pressed her onto the bed. His hand batted away her wandering arms and moved to untie her bathrobe belt.

As soon the naked flesh was revealed, Jing Rong buried his face in her neck and showered it with kisses. His nose inhaled her sweet fragrance, while his mouth softly muttered:

“Xiao Ci, be with me, and I will fulfill your every request.”

In the end, Jing Rong failed to take the last step – Dong Ci’s churning stomach saved her as she vomited everything she had for dinner.

“Ohh—” she groaned weakly.

Her nausea didn’t subside until there was nothing but water left in her stomach. Dong Ci was so uncomfortable that she could barely stand. In the end, she had to rely on Jing Rong to support her as she walked to the bathroom.

Jing Rong didn’t know what to think. His bathrobe was completely messed up by Dong Ci, and there were two pink scratches on his neck, where the girl’s nails dug in earlier. However, despite all of the unpleasantness, he didn’t let go of her. Instead, his arms around her waist gradually tightened as he listened to the continuous sounds of her sickness.

“It’s painful…” Dong Ci weakly complained, snapping Jing Rong out of his thoughts.

He reached out and let her lean into his arms as he took her back to bed. His hand moved to the girl’s forehead, trying to measure her temperature. Then, he turned around and poured her a glass of water, bringing it straight to her mouth.

“Drink,” the boy ordered quietly.

Dong Ci had no strength to struggle. She slightly leaned over and slowly drank the water. She didn’t protest even when he made her swallow unknown medicine, though it was quickly spat out when she felt her stomach begin rolling once again.

Jing Rong silently observed her pained expression, then took out another pill and fed it to her again. His hand immediately moved to cover her mouth as he coldly commanded, “No more vomiting.”

“Ugh—”

Seeing her struggling and shaking head, Jing Rong stiffly snorted, “If you dare to throw up into my hand, you won’t have to suffer from pain anymore. I will quickly help to strengthen your body!”

This sentence frightened Dong Ci. Her stomach kept rolling, and the feeling of nausea didn’t subside at all. But Jing Rong’s hand was still blocking her lips, so she could only tightly grab on to it and suffer in silence.

Having stayed up late into the night, Dong Ci couldn’t remember how she finally fell asleep. She just remembered that she cried from the pain and threw up a few times.

From the beginning to the end, Jing Rong didn’t leave her for even a minute. Even when she kept crying, he just held her in his arms and wiped her tears.

So even when Dong Ci managed to fall asleep, her dreams weren’t peaceful. Her nose was full of the sandalwood fragrance, which stayed strong until dawn when she finally woke up.

Although it was already daybreak when she opened her eyes – but the room was still dark. Her mind was a little confused until she heard the voice coming from the direction of the window.

“No, I am not abandoning my schooling. I just have other things to deal with today.”

As Dong Ci’s mind gradually cleared up, she felt the memories of last night returning to her. Her hand unconsciously stretched out to touch the bed-sheets beside her. They were still a little warm.

Did she and Jing Rong sleep on the same bed all night?

This thought made her a little frightened. She quickly opened the quilt and checked her body, only to find that everything seemed to be alright.

“Alright, I will listen to you and go to classes on time in the future.”

Perhaps it was because Dong Ci wasn’t completely awake, but she felt that Jing Rong’s voice was very gentle as he talked over the phone. She couldn’t imagine who the other person was – they could actually make this boy so obedient!

Dong Ci unconsciously stroked the soft quilt with her fingers, not realizing that Jing Rong had already noticed her movements.

“Alright, Qiao Qiao. Have a good rest, I am hanging up,” he bid a soft farewell and ended the call.

Dong Ci quietly watched as he walked back to the bed, threw the phone on top of it, and tilted his head to stretch his neck – showing off the fair skin.

“Feeling better now?”

His sudden words startled Dong Ci. Her hand subconsciously moved to lightly stroke her stomach as she awkwardly replied, “It’s not that bad anymore.”

Although the memory of last night was vague, she still had an impression of what happened.

She thought that he would stay far away from her when she was sick and didn’t expect that he would take care of her throughout the night. He helped her wash off, gave her medicine, handed her warm water when she was thirsty – he took care of her so thoughtfully, that it didn’t seem to be his first time watching over a patient.

Dong Ci’s impression of him slightly changed: this teenager was so mysterious!

“You are really delicate,” Jing Rong sneered when he noticed her sitting there in a daze.

Was that a praise? Or was it a disparaging comment?

The boy didn’t care what she thought. He lazily settled down on an armchair near the bed and lit up a cigarette.

The white smoke quickly spread throughout the dark room, and Dong Ci couldn’t help but cough a few times.

“You can’t even stand the smell of smoke?”

Jing Rong’s fingers holding the cigarette looked especially elegant, like fine white jade. However, when he heard her cough, he didn’t hesitate to extinguish the smoke. His dark eyes brightened as he stared at her through the dispersing mist.

“Did you know, Dong Ci? You make me more and more interested in you.”
