Chapter 17 Part 2: I Hate You (VI)

Dong Ci has already lived there for a week, but Jing Rong refused to let her go. His behavior made her extremely upset.

Shi Ze has already received the admission notice sent by the J University. When he went to find Dong Ci to notify her about it, he was told by her mother that she went to a friend’s house to play.

“Whose house are you staying at?” he asked over the phone.

Shi Ze knew her character very well. He didn’t remember any special friends she made, so how could she stay for over a week in another person’s house? He knew that she would view such prolonged stay as a disturbance to other people’s lives.

“Didn’t my mom tell you? Her name is Yan Ning Shuang – a new friend I made after entering the new class. She came to our restaurant several times to eat. My mother likes her a lot.”

Because Jing Rong warned Yan Ning Shuang ahead of time, Dong Ci made up this reason. Although the other girl looked unapproachable and disliked talking, Dong Ci’s mother still approved of her. In her mind, her daughter wasn’t inclined to making friends since childhood, so it was a good thing that there appeared such a reliable friend now.

Although it wasn’t the first time that Dong Ci told this lie to others, now that she had to deceive Shi Ze, she was still uncomfortable.

Fortunately, Shi Ze couldn’t see her. As she was speaking to him, she kept on squatting on the ground, drawing invisible circles with her hands. If this action didn’t betray her uneasiness, then the trembling eyelashes, and pitiful look certainly would.

“When are you coming back? I want to invite you to dinner.”

“Umm… In a few days,” she answered. It really depended on Jing Rong’s will.

As she was talking, she saw Jing Rong walking towards her with a laptop. Dong Ci panicked. She feared that he would say something, which would lead to Shi Ze noticing that something was wrong. As such, she got up and hurried to Jing Rong, reaching out to cover his mouth with a hand.

Jing Rong raised an eyebrow and kissed her palm. A soft look appeared in his eyes.

“Don’t keep on living in your classmate’s house – you might disturb them. I think that Aunt Song’s restaurant business has been good these days. You should go back to help her more.”

“All right, I know.”

Although the words were said, there was no way that they would control Jing Rong.

He tilted his head to avoid the hand covering his lips. But the girl was getting more daring as she kept on pressing her hand tighter – determined not to let him speak.

Jing Rong was very close to her, and he could vaguely hear a male voice coming from the cell phone. He narrowed his eyes, the emotion in them deepening.

Won’t let him speak? He can play this game.

She was still talking with Shi Ze when she felt tingling wetness spreading over her palm. Dong Ci’s hand trembled out of reflex – this guy was licking her!

“After your third year of high school, don’t you want to enter F University? You should study more in the last year of school, and take a look at the textbooks in advance. If there’s something you don’t understand, you can still ask me. I will explain it to you.”

“All right…” Dong Ci said with an uncontrollable tremble in her voice.

She was holding the mobile phone in one hand, whilst her other hand was covering Jing Rong’s mouth. She tried to free it unsuccessfully when Jing Rong reached into her clothes.

As the big palm moved along her waist, Dong Ci shivered from its hot temperature.

“Brother Shi Ze, Ning Shuang asked me to massage her back. I’ll hang up first.”

Jing Rong’s hand moved from her waist to her back. If she didn’t hurry to hang up the phone, this person would be on his way to unbuttoning her bra!

Because he was a lot taller than her, she had to stand on her tiptoes to properly cover his mouth. Now, her arms were already sore.

Dong Ci hurried to hang up the phone and pull her hand away from him. The palm was already wet from his licking.

Suddenly, her hand was grabbed and held high before she could withdraw it as Jing Rong’s other arm hugged her closer.

“Who is this ‘Brother’ Shi Ze?” Jing Rong stared at her with a smile, his hand moving from her waist to lift her small face. Their eyes were forced to meet directly. “Why don’t you give me such a close title?”

Jing Rong pulled her hand higher, making her almost move away from the ground. Dong Ci feared that he would continue pulling her up, and then throw her back on the ground with anger. She reached out and carefully hugged his shoulder with the free arm.

“Release me.”

Jing Rong noticed her body tensing up. Not only did he not let her go, but he deliberately tilted his body, creating an impression of throwing her. Dong Ci’s expression instantly changed. She quickly put her arm around his neck and tightened her hold. As soon as she felt balanced in this position, her eyes angrily glanced up at Jing Rong’s smiling ones.

“I like you being so dependent on me.”

Jing Rong kissed her face as a reward and took her completely into his arms. Then he walked to the nearby couch and sat down, never releasing her body from the hug.

“Are you bored? I’ll take you out to play.”

The day was beautiful. Outside, the sky was blue and the sun wasn’t particularly strong, so it was a good day for going out.

Dong Ci looked out the window, then shook her head, “No, I want to study.”

“Studying won’t make you smarter than me.”

“You?” Dong Ci dismissed him. “You still have the nerve to say it when your ranking is at the bottom of the whole year?”

Although Dong Ci was ranked 31st when she entered the ‘A’ class at the beginning of the last term, by the end of it she moved up to the 26th position. This person, wasn’t he embarrassed to compare himself with her?

Jing Rong smiled as he reached out and gently knocked on her head.

“You didn’t notice that in all of the subjects I get 0 points?”

“Yeah, you are so stupid that you can’t even score a point.”

Only a few days have passed, and she was already so spoiled. Jing Rong lifted her chin and asked, “You’re mocking me?”

“You mocked me first.”

“It wasn’t my intention. What I was talking about were indisputable facts.”

Knowing that she wouldn’t believe him, Jing Rong didn’t continue explaining. He took her to sit on the carpet, brought her exercise books, and placed them on the coffee table in front of her. Then he rubbed her head and said, “Since you want to study, then do it.”

“First, let me go.”

Although the air conditioning was turned on, it was still a little too hot to be held by him. Dong Ci tried moving, but Jing Rong pulled her back into his chest. “Just stay like this.”

“I…”

“If you can’t concentrate, then you should go out to play with me,” Jing Rong said. He thought about something, then asked, “Have you ever been to a nightclub? Shall I take you dancing?”

“…”

Dong Ci shut her mouth and no longer complained.

Although it was awkward to be held by him at first, when she concentrated on studying – Jing Rong became the last thing on her mind.

Her eyes slowly moved along the words as she read the senior-level test questions. Because the topics were unfamiliar, some questions were difficult to solve just by reading the material on her own, without the accompanying lessons.

At this time, she wished that the person beside her was Shi Ze. In that case, she would get his help and appropriate explanations.

The weight behind her was getting heavier as Jing Rong completely pressed himself against her back. Dong Ci moved slightly and felt the boy’s head drop on her shoulder.

This guy actually fell asleep?

A few strands of his hair tickled her neck, making the skin itchy. His body was like a dead weight on her back, gradually making her small figure unable to support him. She was already squashed against the coffee table!

“Jing Rong!” she shouted with resentment.

Was he treating her like a bed?

Dong Ci squirmed in an effort to shake him off. When he didn’t respond, she awkwardly reached out and tugged on his ear.

This guy liked to bite her earlobes, so this was an opportunity to yank him back a few times.

As she vigorously pulled on the delicate flesh, the person on her shoulder was awakened. Perhaps, because not much time has passed from when he fell asleep, but when Jing Rong opened his eyes – they were void of any sleepiness.

He grabbed Dong Ci’s mischievous hand and squeezed it, raising an eyebrow to ask, “What were you doing just now?”

The girl deliberately avoided answering. Instead, she lightly said, “You are so heavy, do you want to crush me?”

“Ah, I really want to crush you,” Jing Rong chuckled. He looked at her sideways and teased, “Do you want me to crush?”

“Don’t bother me while I am studying!”

Although she didn’t completely understand Jing Rong’s meaning, she was very clear on the fact that it wouldn’t be any good.

Dong Ci moved her shoulders and tried to get away once again. But yet again, she was unsuccessful. Suddenly, Jing Rong’s arm stretched out from behind her as he pointed at a particular question, “You are stupid, and yet you refuse to admit it. Can’t you even do such a simple question?”

Dong Ci took a closer look but didn’t see any mistakes. Was he deliberately trying to fool her?

When Sally came in with a plate of fruits, she was greeted by the sight of the two of them pressed tightly together. Jing Rong seemed to be explaining something to the little girl in his arms. At first, the girl was slightly impatient. But gradually, her expression calmed, and she finally seriously listened to the boy.

“How is it possible that you know how to solve it?” Dong Ci looked at Jing Rong in disbelief.

Jing Rong felt funny. He squeezed the tip of her nose and answered, “Didn’t you say that I get zero points in every test? Wait until next time, I will show you my ability to be the first in the entire grade.”

Jing Rong was used to living alone and playing around at night. He rarely peacefully stayed inside the mansion. He didn’t mind accompanying Dong Ci when she stayed inside the house for a few days, but today he felt suffocated.

An Cheng Feng called him out to play that evening, and the more Jing Rong thought about it, the more he wanted to go. He put down his phone and forced Dong Ci to follow him out, but the girl refused – she even impatiently told him to hurry up and go, lest he makes his friends wait.

“When I am out, what if you secretly run away?”

Jing Rong was very clear on her attitude over the prolonged stay at his house. Seeing that she wasn’t willing to go with him on her own, he picked her up and carried her out himself.

“I don’t want to go to nightclubs or bars!” she shouted, feeling repulsed by the mere thought of visiting those places. Her body squirmed in his arms as she struggled to get him to release her.

By coincidence, as soon as they walked out the door, it started raining. Jing Rong disliked going out on rainy days, so with a frown, he released the girl.

“I am bored, really bored!” he complained after they got back inside, and he lazily dropped onto the couch.

He didn’t like idleness, because it made him feel empty and irritable. His heart kept thumping, and the hand hanging down the side of the couch gradually tightened.

There was the dull sound of thunder coming from the outside. The rain seemed to be getting heavier. Jing Rong noticed the laptop, which was left on the coffee table since noon, and his eyes flashed.

“Xiao Ci, do you like watching movies?”

Dong Ci was writing something on a piece of paper. When she heard the question, she casually replied without looking up, “Dislike.”

“Hmm, what movie should we watch?” Jing Rong ignored her. His eyes gradually brightened as he thought of something. “Do you like horror?”
