HC Chapter 27: I Obey You (VI)

The pair reached a stalemate. Dong Ci didn’t answer, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, and Jing Rong didn’t urge her. He loosened a few buttons in his shirt and sat down on the sofa next to the bed. His look was so leisurely and natural, as though he has already won.

There was another call from the loan sharks.

“Your mother has fainted. If you don’t want your mother to die by my hand today, bring me a million yuan within an hour!”

After Dong Ci heard the news, she almost choked on air. But before she had a chance to clarify the situation, the call was directly cut off.

Her mother lost consciousness. In a short period of time, half a million became one million yuan. What happened in these few hours already exceeded Dong Ci’s psychological tolerance limits. She put her hand against her mouth and tried to contain her sobs.

“Have you thought about it?” Jing Rong crossed his legs and propped up his arm against the armrest, his palm supporting his chin. He looked at Dong Ci with a smile that put invisible pressure on her. “If I understand this correctly, they have raised the price to one million.

“All I have to do is wait, but if they raise the price to astronomical figures… I may have to reconsider whether you are worth the price. Xiao Ci, you have to understand that some people may not be able to see so much money in their lifetime.”

Seeing that Dong Ci was close to a breakdown, Jing Rong’s lips twitched slightly as he went for another unhurried push. Nonchalantly, he asked, “I seem to have also heard that your mother fainted. Is she sick?”

“Enough! I beg you, stop talking!”

Dong Ci completely collapsed. There was no pride left in her as she stumbled from the bed and onto her knees in front of Jing Rong, promising, “I will listen to you, I will listen to everything you say. I beg you, save my mother. From now on, I will listen to you in everything.”

She didn’t care anymore. She didn’t care about anything. Her dad has already passed away, and she didn’t want to let the last relative leave her as well – even if that cost her the future.

“Good girl.”

Jing Rong lifted her teary face and happily bent down to kiss her lips. Seeing that Dong Ci did not react, his eyes flashed. With a chuckle, he released her.

“Now, take the initiative to please me.” Jing Rong leaned back slightly, lazily sinking into the sofa. His half-lidded eyes playfully looked at the girl who was kneeling on the ground. Ignoring her frightened expression, he slowly said, “Xiao Ci, come closer, and please me.”

Jing Rong put his hand back on the armrest and lazily supported his forehead. Seeing that Dong Ci was still hesitating on the ground, he curled his lips, “Not willing?

“If you don’t want to, you can leave now. Walk out this door, and we won’t have anything to do with each other in the future.”

Having said this, he laughed and tilted his head, looking at her from above.

“Isn’t this what you wanted? Our transaction can be fulfilled right now.”

He is forcing her!

How could he be so cruel…

Dong Ci’s body uncontrollably trembled, her eyes were full of struggles. She really wanted to walk out that door without looking back, but she couldn’t. She just couldn’t…

Tremblingly, she moved forward to kiss his lips, but Jing Rong turned his head slightly, as though to deliberately tease her. Dong Ci’s lips brushed against his cheek, making her slightly flustered.

“Sit on my lap.”

Dong Ci stared at him blankly. To actively kiss him just now, already consumed all her courage. And now, he actually wanted her to take the initiative to sit on his lap!

The feeling of humiliation spread all over, and Dong Ci felt her face heating up. Biting her lip, she slowly approached him. Just as her eyes met Jing Rong’s calm black ones, Dong Ci felt her body softening up as she directly fell into his arms.

The room was silent. Dong Ci didn’t dare to look up, and the only sound in the whole place was of the two of them breathing.

After a while, Jing Rong sighed and put his lips right next to her ear, asking in a low voice, “Xiao Ci, do you want to sit on me all day? Kiss me.”

His presence felt dangerous, but it also exuded deadly attraction. Once she was caught up in it, she would be eaten alive – and then, even the thought of struggle would be ridiculous.

This time, Jing Rong didn’t avoid her approach. His beautiful eyes were slightly narrowed as he stared directly at Dong Ci, watching her every movement. But even as their lips touched together, he was unmoved – completely ignoring her helplessness.

He just leaned back on the sofa, supporting his chin while lazily staring at the unsure girl in his lap. Without rejecting or kissing her back, he was just watching her awkward gestures. His eyes were gradually misting over.

The girl’s breath was sweet and pure as she clumsily covered his mouth with her own, causing their lips and teeth to clash. The two of them were so close that they could feel every tremble that the other experienced, even through two layers of clothes.

Having kissed Jing Rong for a long time without a response, Dong Ci put her hand against his shoulder and leaned back, wishing to quickly get up from the uncomfortable position.

But how could Jing Rong let her go so easily?

He locked Dong Ci in his arms, his fingers reaching up to pinch the girl’s chin as he pressed their mouths together once again, giving her no room of retreat.

“Ah…”

Dong Ci’s body was heating up because of the kiss, and she had no choice but to endure it. After all, Jing Rong still refused to let her break free. His big palm was no longer passive as it moved from the waist, bypassing the clothes to directly touch her bare skin. Dong Ci shivered as she felt the places that he touched heat up even more.

“Xiao Ci, when you requested for my help, you should’ve known that there would be no way out of this situation.”

Jing Rong’s breaths quickened. He stared at the disheveled girl in his arms, then pressed her body down and buried his face in her neck with no hesitation.

“…”

It was like rising into the heavens and resting on the clouds, then being heavily thrown down – with no center of gravity, there was only the hand behind her that she could lean against.

Dong Ci violently gasped. Her misty eyes faced Jing Rong’s dark ones – it seemed as though there was a black whirlpool in them as it swept her in.

The dim room’s atmosphere was ambiguous. A tall man sat on the sofa in the corner whilst hugging a girl who only had a shirt on. The clothes were barely covering her body as they hung from her arms and exposed her white and silky skin, which was covered in kiss marks. The picture they portrayed gave a strong visual impact.

After the final intimate touch, Dong Ci had no strength to hold her body as she weakly lay in Jing Rong’s arms. Her small face was covered in unconscious tears, and her lips were slightly open as she struggled to regain her breath, feeling very tired.

She had been tossed around and was completely exhausted. When Jing Rong got up, the shirt that had been half-hanging on her arms slid to the ground, completely exposing her.

“A’Rong, don’t…”

Dong Ci was already asleep, but she kept on whispering those words in her dreams. With the teardrops still hanging in the corners of her eyes, she looked slightly pitiful.

Jing Rong thought about letting her go with just this, but the desire was once again rising in his heart, and it wouldn’t go away. Helplessly giving in to it, he picked Dong Ci up and tossed her around once again, in her half-asleep state…

The night was already very deep when their activities finished. Jing Rong stared at the sleeping girl in his arms with unconcealed tenderness as his fluctuating emotions finally calmed down.

She finally belongs to him.

Jing Rong’s thin lips stretched into a pleasant smile as he wrapped the girl’s delicate body into his arms. He leaned over and gently kissed her forehead.

“Xiao Ci, from today onwards, there will be no escape for you,” he whispered into the silence of the night.

Obviously, he had experienced a ‘fight’, but Jing Rong’s physical strength did not seem to be consumed in the slightest. Eventually, he got up from the bed and gracefully put on his clothes, leaving a few unfastened buttons.

His open collarbone was attractive, and his originally handsome face seemed even more enchanting after the baptism of love. The suffocating charm made the people following behind him frightened, so they kept their heads low and avoided looking around.

“How is that person?”

Jing Rong pushed open the doors of the study and sat down on a chair, adopting a lazy posture. He lit up a cigarette and brought it to his lips. The misty smoke spreading around him made his face look fierce, while the seductive eyes that could still be seen through it added a hazy softness to his being.

Dong Ci has seen both – his softness and his fierceness. She assumed that she had seen all of Jing Rong’s sides, but it wasn’t true.

He has always been someone who could act according to the situation. As long as he wanted others to see only one side of him, it wasn’t difficult to hide everything else. As such, his real thoughts and character have always been hidden from the sight of most people.

“She woke up. Dr. Qin has seen to her now, and she… She said…”

“Are you trying to test my patience?”

Jing Rong was obviously younger than the man before him, but the pressure he exuded made the older man unable to lift his head. Jing Rong narrowed his eyes as he looked down on the man, just like a king judging the crimes of an incompetent subordinate.

Xiao Wang was taken aback. He no longer dared to hesitate, and quickly explained, “Dr. Qin found that she has an abnormal mentality. She suspects that the person suffers from long-term depression.”

“Oh?”

Jing Rong flicked the ash into the tray. There was some interest in his dark eyes as he thoughtfully supported his chin. After a few seconds of thought, he chuckled. His mood was suddenly even better than before.

“Is it serious?”

“Dr. Qin said that the person should be further examined to make sure.”

“Alright, then carefully check her over,” Jing Rong coldly commanded.

The cigarette had already burned to its end. Jing Rong put it out and was about to stand up to leave when he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

“Hide your identity. Don’t let Xiao Ci recognize you in the Jing residence. Otherwise…” Jing Rong turned his head to look at the man whose head was still pointed to the ground. “My methods of dealing with you won’t be any worse than my father’s.”

When Dong Ci woke up, her body felt tired and weak.

Because so much happened the day before, and she cried so much, her eyes were swollen and sore. For a while, she didn’t dare to open them at all.

Suddenly, a cold towel covered her eyelids, which instantly made her eyes more comfortable. As her consciousness gradually returned to the present, she suddenly remembered the loan sharks. She hurriedly sat up, her heart once again falling into panic. But even if she wanted to, she couldn’t do anything, because her whole body was aching. Just as she wanted to continue struggling to get up, she was carefully hugged from behind.

“Where are you going in such a hurry?”

Jing Rong pulled the girl into his embrace, picked up the towel that fell from the bed, and once again covered her eyes with it. Seeing her continue to struggle, he simply tightened his arms.

“Where is my mother now? I want to see her!”

The pair’s activities left a deep impression on Dong Ci’s body last night. Almost the moment she was embraced by Jing Rong, her body was already limp and obedient in his arms. As the intimate scenes flashed through her mind, her pale face blushed slightly. For a moment, she couldn’t accept the reality of what already happened.

“I have taken the initiative to pay back the money you owed, and I already sent someone to get your mother back. But there is something else you should know – your mother’s mental state is in a bad condition. I already sent her to the hospital to be checked over. A doctor will take care of her.”

“How can it be? Does my mother have a psychological illness? That can’t be true… Is it because of those people? Did they do something?”

Dong Ci had a towel over her eyes, and it was because she couldn’t see Jing Rong that she dared to talk to him this way. But despite this, there was a little tremor in her voice. Just like a tamed beast – she wished to resist her master, but she was also afraid of his punishment.

After the series of events that she experienced the day before, Dong Ci’s heart was already tired. She lost the strength and will to struggle, and there was no courage to do so, even if she wanted to.

She was afraid that if she wasn’t obedient, he would apply even more cruel methods to deal with her. Her broken heart could no longer withstand the pain that the additional bad news would bring.

“Xiao Ci, your mother has been suffering from long-term depression. Haven’t you seen any signs of it?” a clear voice sounded from above her head.

Dong Ci couldn’t see Jing Rong, but she could imagine the cold expression he must have at this moment. For a second, she was taken aback. Then she suddenly shook her head in disbelief, and exclaimed, “Depression? How can my mother suffer from depression? She has always been very normal – the doctor must be mistaken!”

Dong Ci refused to believe anything Jing Rong said regarding this matter, but she couldn’t quite convince herself that it wasn’t true. After all, she also remembered her mother’s abnormal behavior, and couldn’t help but blame herself for not doing something about it. The pain consumed her heart as she cried out and struggled to get up.

“Let go of me! I’m going to see my mother. I don’t believe that she has depression. You must be lying to me!”

The towel fell to the ground, but before Dong Ci could take a single step, she was taken back into Jing Rong’s arms. He tightly pressed her to himself, and comforted: “Rest assured, after dinner, I will take you to see your mother.”

“I am going right now!” Dong Ci stubbornly exclaimed, even as her head continued to lay on Jing Rong’s shoulder while she was sobbing. Her eyes hurt from the continuous tears, but she still tried to ignore the other person’s gentleness.

“I will take you there after you have eaten.”

“I don’t… I… Now…”

“Are you going to disobey me again?” Jing Rong’s voice was like ice water, waking her up to reality. Dong Ci shrunk her head and closed her mouth, choosing to stay silent.

The neck in front of her eyes was beautiful and manly. Dong Ci looked at the flesh that was so close to her, her eyes sweeping over the blue blood vessels that could be seen through the skin. The anger and resentment suddenly surged in her heart, and without even realizing it, she put her arms around his head, and sunk her teeth into the unprotected neck…
